Hello and Welcome!

Thank you for stopping by my website.

My name is Kai, and I am an Associate Professor at the Naval Postgraduate School.

I am interested in:
– using transiting surface ships as sources of opportunity for the purpose of array and environmental parameter characterization
– acoustic signal and array processing in the presence of environmental noise and uncertainty

In my free time, I enjoy to backpack and to sail.

Quote of the moment (Press F5 to refresh):

I started to die for who I am

It was slow and forever
The pain of death is unbearable
So unbearable, I gave up dying.

I recalled, I started playing this role since long ago
The play was so real, I believed I was that role for real.
Now, again, I realize I am just a role, and I want to be myself again.
But this role is so real, I must die to finish it off.
If I don’t die, I won’t be myself.

So once again, I started to die for who I am

It was slow and forever
The pain of death is unbearable
So unbearable, I thought of giving up dying.

It was by your Grace I realized:
In the One, there is no union or separation.

With this experience, I disappeared
